As we learned from the dissertation of U-Penn sociologist Bridget Nolan, the Defense Intelligence Agency is considered the “K-mart” of the Intelligence Community, the “hippos” to the CIA’s and FBI’s “more nimble cats and dogs.” Even DIA analysts themselves seemed to agree with this assessment in their interviews with Nolan.
The DIA may have low status in the Intelligence Community, but they’ve got one thing going for them: their Youtube videos are a hell of a lot better than the CIA’s.
